A great opportunity has been presented to us as a sport and a global community. This news article is an invitation to every wakeboarder, cable wake park owner, operator, staff member and friends to get involved with a very noble cause. This year in 2008 we are calling on every cable wake park in the world to hold their own "Ride For Peace" event! We as a global wakeboard community have a chance to make a statement together and unite on this day through the sport we all love!

2008 ECWT Stop #4 - Marburg
The 2008 European Cable Wakeboard Tour will see two finals in Germany. The first final is 1-3 August in Marburg, Germany at the very popular Hot Sport Seepark and is for the Junior and Masters Categories. The Ukrainian Wake Park Open and 3rd stop of the 2008 WWA WPWS in Kiev August 8-10 is open to all international competitors with 6 different categories and over $27,000 in total cash and prizes for Pro Men Wakeboard, Pro Women Wakeboard, Pro Wakeskate, Junior Men, Best Kicker Trick and Best Rail Trick. In addition to some incredible riding, there will also be live concerts and open-air parties planned each night, as well as some sightseeing opportunities for those who are interested in visiting Kiev.
4th Stop - WWA Wake Park World Series - Copenhagen
The World Wakeboard Association (WWA) and Copenhagen Cable Park (CCP) are pleased to announce the 4th stop of the 2008 WWA WPWS. This event will take place August 15-17 in Copenhagen, Denmark and all international competitors are welcome to participate in 5 different categories including Pro Men Wakeboard, Pro Women Wakeboard, Pro Wakeskate, Gator Boards Obstacles Only contest and Copenhagen Cable Park Best Trick contest.

2008 IWSF Cable Wakeboard World Championships - UPDATE
The first Cable Wakeboard World Championships held in Russia will take place between the 4th and the 7th of
September. The place for the event to be held is famous Russian resort – Anapa.
150 top athletes from all over the world will be on hand in Anapa to compete for the title of Cable Wakeboard World Champion in the first wakeboard contest of
such a scale held in Russia.
